Barbara Scott will present a brief outline of UK Border Controls and Customs Procedures Post EU Transition. Barbara is the owner of Customs Associates Ltd, a UK independent customs and international trade consultancy providing advice and support to importers and exporters. She helps companies, ranging from small independent importers to global companies, to pay the minimum amount of import duties whilst at the same time ensuring that they fulfil their legal obligations and comply with the many complex EU customs and trade regulations.

Ben Dear’s talk ‘Getting Ready for 2021’ will give some practical advice to help members be prepared for the changes that will affect us all next year. Ben is the UK Manager for Malca-Amit UK, a member of the Malca-Amit Group of Companies. They provide the luxury goods industry with a global team of experts, including logistics, security, customs clearance and special operations professionals.

Taran Thabal will provide an overview of what services BJGI have to offer to member companies, including the UK pavilions they organise at overseas trade fairs, and the level of funding available from DIT. Taran is the International Services Manager at the British Jewellery & Giftware International (BJGI), a division of the British Allied Trades Federation. The department organises overseas exhibition groups to help UK companies to sell internationally, and is recognised as a Trade Challenge Partner for the Department for International Trade, which is the UK government's export promotion arm.

Vincenzo Gallone, FMCG Specialist Adviser at the Department for International Trade, will also share critical information on international trade regarding EU Exit.

NAJ Live attendees can then network with other attendees and hear more from the speakers in the ‘Skype style’ Bubbles that then start at 11.30 am, after one lucky attendee is announced as the winner of a bottle of champagne.
